Master Sun from Zhenping, Nanyang: Choosing the right brand helps beginners avoid detours
Sun, a farmer from Zhenping County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, is a newcomer to peanut harvesting machinery. As one of China's most renowned peanut-producing regions, Nanyang has seen strong growth in its peanut industry. Seeing this opportunity, Sun—who had no prior experience with agricultural machinery—decided to enter the peanut harvesting service sector. Faced with numerous brands on the market, he approached his decision cautiously: "I'd never used a peanut harvester before; I was completely new to this industry. I was afraid of making a mistake and buying a low-quality machine, not only wasting money but also delaying harvest time."

Rather than rushing into a purchase, Sun first consulted several experienced operators. "Out of ten peers, eight recommended Zoomlion Harvesters," he said. "They said the machines are technologically mature, have low failure rates, and are ideal for beginners like me. Even if minor issues arise, their after-sales support is prompt and reliable, so work isn't delayed." Still somewhat skeptical, Sun decided to observe a Zoomlion harvester in action at a neighboring village’s peanut field. "After watching it operate, I barely saw any dropped pods. It picked clean, separated vines and pods neatly, and even on damp ground, it didn’t slip or get stuck. Farmers lined up to hire it. That’s when I knew—I’d buy a Zoomlion Harvester!" In early 2025, Sun purchased his first peanut harvester and officially entered the harvesting service business.

"I thought it would take at least ten to fifteen days to get comfortable operating a harvester for the first time, but surprisingly, the design is very user-friendly. The controls are simple and intuitive—I quickly mastered the operation," Sun said with a smile. Unfortunately, last year’s continuous rainy weather caused waterlogging in many low-lying fields, preventing normal operations and falling short of expected workload. Despite limited work, Sun’s confidence in the product and brand remained strong. His most memorable experience came during the start of the 2025 harvest season when a minor malfunction occurred: "I was working in the field when suddenly I heard an odd noise coming from the roller. As a beginner, I panicked, worried about serious damage. If we were delayed by just one or two days and then rain hit again, the losses would be huge." Sun immediately called customer service. After confirming the issue via phone, technicians dispatched a nearby service team who arrived promptly. Upon inspection, they found that mud from continuous rain had clogged the bearing gaps. After clearing the debris, the problem was quickly resolved. Before leaving, the technician also provided Sun with guidance on key technical tips for rainy-season operations, further solidifying his confidence in his choice. Last year, thanks to his clean harvesting and low pod damage rate, many farmers called Sun ahead of time this spring to book his services. "Even though I didn’t earn much last year due to heavy rains, I’ve clearly tested the reliability of the machine and the trustworthiness of the after-sales service," Sun said. "This year, I’ve already completed maintenance and am ready for the harvest season."

Zoomlion Harvesters has long been dedicated to the peanut harvesting machinery sector, consistently prioritizing user needs in driving technological innovation and product upgrades. With stable, reliable performance and a comprehensive after-sales service network, it has become a leading mainstream brand in China’s peanut harvester market. In 2026, based on feedback from tens of thousands of users and accumulated technical expertise, the brand launched its flagship model—the H6 MAX Peanut Harvester—delivering systematic upgrades across core modules including picking, transmission, mobility, and operator comfort, significantly enhancing overall competitiveness.
